Just Like a Real Pony
With Smores, your girl will feel like she is interacting with a living, breathing pony. Smores is soft to the touch, with a fur coat and mane that feel just like a real pony. Her markings and color are modeled after an actual pony.
Smores also has built-in sensors all over her body, which enable her to respond to children in amazingly lifelike ways. If talked to, she will cock her head toward the speaker quizzically and blink her eyes. She will also react to petting, showing her enjoyment by rubbing her head against your child, twitching her ears, and swishing her tail.
In addition to her convincing movements, Smores also makes a medley of different sounds. She’ll neigh and whinny just like a real pony, and snort when she wants attention. Should the room become dark, she will begin to whimper, letting her owner know that she needs a consoling hug to know that she is safe.
Saddle Up!
At over three feet tall, Smores is more than strong enough to support a rider up to 100 pounds in weight. Your little girl will be overjoyed to sit on Smores’s back and pretend to go for a ride. Although she doesn’t move her legs, Smores will bump up and down when her hindquarters are tapped, simulating the feeling of a real pony ride. She will also make clomping sounds with her hooves while riding. Your child’s imagination will soar as she pictures herself out on the plains with Smores.
Caring for Smores
Much like a real pony, Smores loves to be groomed and fed. Children will keep very busy taking care of her. When given her special carrot, Smores will chomp and munch on it. She also enjoys having her mane groomed with her brush. Along with her brush and carrot, Smores comes with a special adoption certificate, which will give your little girl a real sense that Smores belongs exclusively to her.

My 3year old daughter received this for an early Christmas gift from her Aunt and Grandmother this year. She is a horse lover and she just lost her mind over this toy! Smores is very life like in movements and sounds. It responds to her voice and movement; She can brush him; “feed” him; ride on him. My daughter doesn’t want to be more than 3 steps away from Smores! Smores even sleeps by her bedside!
Smores would make a wonderful gift for any little horse lover in your family! The only “downsides” I can think about are that the mechanical sounds are a bit loud, (though I doubt this will deter any horse loving child) and the cost. Though after seeing my daughter with Smores, it was worth every cent for my sister and mother! Size may also be a consideration for those with space limitations. ***I do highly recommend that this gift is assembled before giving to your child. Upon opening the box, the horses’ head is *not* attatched, and if your child is sensitive, this might upset her.***
Again, Smores is highly recommended. This is the next best thing to a real horse! Giddy up Smores!!!

I purchased both Butterscotch and Smores, and in the photos, Butterscotch ’seemed’ to be the cutest, but in person, Smores is just too adorable for words!! They both are adorable, but Smores, by his animated actions, just stole my heart.
I bought them both for some really needy children at a day care class at a YMCA here, and really hated to see Smores leave today, but my best sister in the world is buying me another Smores, and since the shipping was just 2 or 3 days, the lady at the YMCA is going to exchange ‘my’ Smores for the new one! She said that Smores won’t look at anyone in her family, so he must miss me, too!
Sooo, as crazy as all of that sounds, even adults can fall in love with this precious little pony just as easily as children.
Both ponies are extremely real looking and acting.

I purchased this pony for my granddaughter for this Xmas, she hasn’t gotten it yet, but there was one displayed at Sam’s Club and and it is the cutest thing I ever saw, appears well made, and sooooo real, the price on Amazon is the best price I found, plus free shipping, my granddaughter is 7 and it is still a very nice size for her, can’t wait for her to see it, its #1 on her Santa list

What’s this things little girls have about ponies? I don’t know but my little 5 yr. old just HAD to have one. She wanted one for a year already so… she got hers this year, for Christmas.
There are lots of reviews posted already so, I will only add my personal impressions and make an attempt to organize some of the information in way that could make it more useful.
Logistics:
———-
- Watch for a sale. Prices fluctuate and you don’t want to pay a lot. If you don’t care about specific color schemes, take a look at Butterscotch. It’s essentially the same toy and it was available at Amazon for less than one hundred at one of Amazon’s lightning deals pre-Christmas this year – and, no, I did not get it at that price because I had mine delivered already.
- Exercise discretion. The box does have a picture of its contents. If you order it, like I did, weeks in advance of actually presenting it to my little girl, make sure she’s not there when the delivery is made.
- Buy batteries. You will need SIX D-cell batteries or your girl will be very unhappy.
- Make sure that you have a Phillips screwdriver for the assembly.
- Pre-assemble it before showing it to your little girl. The box has the head separated from the body and you don’t want her to see it that way. You will need to tighten about 3 screws and zip up the fabric around the neck.
Some good things:
—————–
- Battery saving mode – she goes to sleep at night or whenever nothing happens around for a while.
- Many sensors (14, I believe). She reacts to motion, touch, light and sound and she can actually detect the origin of a sound (turns her head toward you when you call her)
- Solid frame. It’s safe for your girl to ride on top of her.
- Several routines. She makes soft sounds, wiggles her tail, open-closes eyes, turns her head toward you and mimics eating when you put something in her mouth – but don’t try ‘real’ food.
- Good coat and mane, your girl is likely to enjoy grooming her.
Some not so good things:
————————
- The motor that moves her head makes a rather loud, mechanical sound.
- The neck appears to be fragile and, the final stage of her turning her head is a bit scary (looks as if life was just drained out of her and she went limp)
- Not to easy to turn her off from the master switch.
- Sometimes, she wakes up in the middle of the night and decides to neigh or, if she’s in the room where the TV is on, she can get quite excited.
To conclude, my 5 yr. old girl loves her pony and she is inviting all her girlfriends to come and see that “it’s true”
. This was a Christmas present so I don’t know for how long this will last but, half a month later, she’s still playing with her – sometimes she’s watching her favorite TV shows on top of her.
I found the assembly to be easy and quick and, so far nothing broke. My main concern is the neck but I haven’t seen any reviews complaining about the neck breaking so… we shall see. I will update this review if anything bad happens.

Hi, my name is Amanda and I am 11 years old. I am horse and pony crazy and would do anything for a real horse or pony. My mom got me a S’more pony for Christmas and I am too happy for words! My sister, Abby, got a Butterscotch pony. I named my pony Cookie and she named her pony Butter Cup. I STRONGLY SUGGEST THIS TOY FOR ANY HORSWE LOVER! THEY ARE TOO ADORABLE!
